Gurdwara Sheetal Kund
Gurudwara · Guru Nanak · Rajgir, Nalanda, Bihar
Sikh families come for darshan at the spring Guru Nanak is said to have turned cold, and to bathe in it
A gurdwara beside a cold-water spring among Rajgir's hot springs. Sikh tradition holds that Guru Nanak, visiting Rajgir, pointed at one of the 22 springs and said its water would now run cold and pure; that spring is the Sheetal Kund. The complex has about ten residential rooms built by the Prabandhak Committee and local donors, and has been maintained by the sangat for over forty years. The site's existence is recorded in the Patna Gazetteer (1991); some scholars note that the janam sakhis do not mention Rajgir.
